This super easy create-your-own sketchbook project is excellent for middle or high school art classes on a budget. Students create their own books to use as visual journals or sketchbooks.

The handout has step-by-step instructions for assembling the book and a link to a video demonstration. Students can decorate their covers however they choose.

The cover design for the book shown in this demonstration is a mandala project that was pasted onto the cover.
