Product Description
This printable math and art lesson is great for an end-of-year activity, sub plans, early finishers, or simple drawing exercises. Your middle or high school students will develop skills in observation and proportion and gain confidence in their artistic abilities—all while having fun!
As students work through the grid, a concealed spring/summer-themed image slowly emerges, like a puzzle. The puzzle format makes it fun and challenges them to create an organized process for marking off completed boxes and finding the next one to draw at the end of the year as they daydream about summer break.
The package contains two summer fruit-themed mystery scramble art worksheets. One is a watermelon, and the other is an orange. The drawings can be done directly on the grid provided, or you can place a thin sheet of paper on the grid and do the drawing on clean paper so you do not see the grid lines on the finished drawing.
These art & math grid drawing worksheets are great as a sub-plan for any class, as they learn how to break complex images and patterns into smaller, more straightforward, manageable shapes and learn to draw what they see, not what they think they see.
