Description
These one-day art activity worksheets are great for sub plans, early finishers, or simple drawing exercises. The package contains 12 summer beach-themed mystery scramble grid drawing art worksheets. They are perfect as an end-of-the-year art activity or for any time of the year.
These can be done directly on the grid provided, or you can place a thin sheet of paper on the grid and do the drawing on clean paper so you do not see the grid lines on the finished drawing.
I love having a variety of images available for my students so they all have different pictures. They love trying to solve the puzzle and guess what the different images are. The drawings can be finished with a marker or pencil in one day.
These are great for building observational skills and confidence. As a bonus, they are fun to do. I love having these on hand for emergencies or whenever I have to be out of the room.
These worksheets are great as an emergency sub-plan for any class and are great for a one-day art activity. They encourage students to use their right brain to draw the broken-down elements instead of relying on their left brain to make associations and draw symbolic representations of what they see. They learn how to break complex images and patterns into smaller, more straightforward, manageable shapes and learn to draw what they see, not what they think they see. They develop patience and an understanding of different line qualities.
The puzzle format makes it fun and challenges them to create an organized process for marking off completed boxes and finding the next one to draw.
