This pen and ink drawing art project is a great addition to any middle or high school art curriculum. The art element of texture is explained in the two beautifully designed handouts, a Google Slideshow, and 3 practice worksheets. Also included are both gridded and non-gridded animal eye reference images to draw from. The handouts and worksheets are also great to use for substitute lesson plans, or for early finishers.
