Description
This music-themed mystery gid drawing worksheets are great for emergency sub plans, as an early finisher art activity, or as a one-day art activity for middle school or high school. The package contains two music line drawing-themed mystery scramble worksheets. One is an image of a violinist, and the other is of a contrabassist.
These can be done directly on the grid provided, or you can place a thin sheet of paper on the grid and do the drawing on clean paper so you do not see the grid lines on the finished drawing. They can be finished off with a marker or pencil. These are great for building observational drawing skills and confidence in art. As a bonus, they are fun to do. I love having these on hand for emergencies or whenever I need a quick and easy art activity.
This lesson is also included in this Money Saving Music-Themed Mystery Grid Drawing Worksheet Bundle!
Need an Easy to Follow One Day Art Lesson or Emergency Sub Plan?
These mystery scramble beginner drawing worksheets are easy to follow for substitute teachers or self-directed learning when the art teacher is unavailable.
They are great as a sub-plan for any middle school or high school class, as they encourage students to use their right brain to draw the broken-down elements instead of relying on their left brain to make associations and draw symbolic representations of what they see. They learn how to break complex images and patterns into smaller, more straightforward, manageable shapes and learn to draw what they see, not what they think they see. They develop patience and an understanding of different line qualities.
The puzzle format makes it fun and challenges them to create an organized process for marking off completed boxes and finding the next one to draw.
All of my lessons can be shared with your students through Google Classroom or any digital platform and are formatted to work for distance learning or in the classroom.
